Fee structure

Exactly Editing’s fees are fixed, to make it easier for you to budget. At a glance, you can see how much you will be spending. The final cost will fall into one of seven word-count bands, as follows: 

There are some exceptions to the above cost brackets:

- Writing, which is quoted for at an hourly rate, based on discussion(s) with the client.

- If the original word count is no more than 5% over the maximum word count in the previous bracket, the fee can be negotiated, subject to the submission of a sample before work begins.

- If you would like to submit more than 12,000 words, the fee can be negotiated and a sample will be requested. Here, fees will depend on urgency and Exactly Editing's capacity to prioritise your work.

For proofreading or copy-editing of website content, the word count is calculated at the beginning of the assignment, after the text submitted has been converted into Microsoft Office Word format.

Delivery time is dependent upon other factors. A more exact estimate will always be discussed and agreed with you once Exactly Editing begins working.

These fees only apply to editing and proofreading services. Fees for creative writing content or input will be agreed on following a non-chargeable preliminary meeting or discussion.

All fees are exclusive of VAT.

If you would like to pay in a different currency, fees will be charged at the exchange rate current at the time of delivery. Payments are accepted via direct bank transfer or PayPal.
